I do not consider myself as a yoga addict. I just go to the yoga class once per week, on Saturdays, and only when i spend the weekend in Jakarta. Yes I do some yoga poses (simple ones!) every night, and it is not because i am determined to have some progress on my yoga capability, but because i need to distribute some accumulated acid in my leg and back muscles so that i can sleep more peacefully (remember, I was an accute insomniac!). But I have to say, everytime i do the class or the simple poses at nights, I always like the after effect. Just like today.
Today i went to my regular yoga class, and just like any saturday mornings i did not feel like it at all to get up early. I was attacked by laziness. Plus the fact that for the last 2 weeks i have been suffering severe tiredness -for whatever reason, i dont know-, i did not plan to go to the class. But hey, apparently i woke up early without wekker! Somehow subconsciously i wanted to do some 2-hr yoga, so i went. I went with the mindset that i wanted to take it very easy and not trying to keep up with the class. My justification was: i was not too healthy. I was also a bit late (thanks to my struggling time in bed to decide whether to go or not).
Surprisingly enough, again, just like every Saturday morning yoga class, today i enjoyed it a lot. The class was quite tough, as always... but i felt a lot fresher after the exercise and ready to see the day. I even was in the stage of almost half-asleep when we did the Savasana (corpse pose). Zzzzzzzz.... So relaxing! :) And after the class I dont have the tired feeling anymore that has been haunting me for days.
Moral of story: it is always worth to move your body a little bit and to fight the laziness before an exercise. Yup, but it is always easier to speak the theory than to actualy do it.. :)
