Quick Tickets and A Woman

www.nataliedee.comHello there..!
Yup I'm just back on track again after 2-week trip to Jakarta plus one-week settling down with this pile of works to do.
Although I liked it a lot to be able to visit Jakarta again, meeting family & closest friends, and eating delicious food, but ironically speaking, it was actually an emergency call to Jakarta. If you have an emergency call like I just had and you live in Angola, then you really feel it that you live far far away from flight connections! To arrange a ticket was really a hard work, but thanks to my husband with his magic spell, finally we got 2 tickets for the next day after we received this call from Jakarta. This is a very very rare case, usually you have to book ticket 2 months in advance to get an international flight, and really, I am not exaggerating. The tickets we got however, were the detour tickets: we had to go all the way to Europe to get to Jakarta from Africa. It was a stress and a story on its own, hehe. All in all, of all the excitement and adventure of living in Angola, this is the price we have to pay. Fair enough.
Back to Angola, of course no time to get tired. The black gold is almost to get flowing, so everything is in a rush looking forward to the d-day. Something I would like to share though, was a conversation with a woman that I know quite well. I asked her how can she be in a good mood all the time with all the pressure from work and might be from her role as the woman in the family. She said, "Of course I do every work full gear full throttle, but I always try not to be emotionally attached to what I do. You will see that doing something with passion is completely different than doing it emotionally attached. The first one liberates you, the last one is a recipe for disaster!" Hehe, still a lot to learn for me, apparently! :)
I'm starting to do blogwalking again to see how you all are.. Hope you all are doing allright, and I'll catch up with you soon.

Welcome back to Angola, then :).
Yep, it is important to be passionate about work, but never emotionally involved cause emotions blur the issue!
